ICRI Virtual Fall Convention – Event & Product Demo for Seismic Retrofit

October 14, 2020 @ 2:40 pm - 3:10 pm UTC-5

ICRI Virtual Fall Convention Demo For Eco-Friendly Ductile Cementitious Composites

ICRI Fall Convention Social Badge Demo 2020This event is a virtual product demo for the ICRI Virtual Fall Convention. We will be covering Eco-Friendly Ductile Cementitious Composites (EDCC) for Seismic Retrofit with an introduction by Patrick McConnell, President | CEO of Atlantis Fiber, and technical-presentation Dr. Nemy Banthia, Scientific Director, IC-IMPACTS

Our ICRI Virtual Fall Convention Product Demo

We will primarily be covering our EDCC blend, SeismicFiber™. EDCC is a first of its kind application for use primarily in the seismic retrofit of unreinforced masonry walls.

This proven spray-on technology incorporates a highly sustainable and cost-effective mixture of recycled admixtures made specifically for concrete. We have been able to demonstrously show EDCC to be extremely effective at greatly enhancing the ductility and strength of unreinforced structures. Its ease of placement and unique flexural advantages make it very unique in the field of seismic upgrade with the potential for additional applications with other infrastructure improvements in general.

Our Demo Objectives:

  1. We will discuss the highly sustainable composition of the mix design and components
  2. We will demonstrate the ease of application
  3. We will describe what makes this application unique and superior to current applications for retrofit and repair work
  4. We will discuss highly sustainable and cost-effective benefits of the application

Follow these links if you would like to learn more about the Advantages of Fiber Reinforced Concrete or our products.

AtlantisFiber™ offers cost-effective solutions to help enhance existing concrete with crackage and shrinkage control, effectively reducing overall cracking by 90% and reducing the build and lifespan-cost of a project. Our Fiber Blend also works to reduce the weight, to make the concrete earthquake-resistant, and be very climate tolerant. It all works because when the concrete tries to crack — which is common in an earthquake and extreme climate zones — the fibers intercept the crack and act like internal Band-Aids. Learn more about AtlantsFiber™here.
